How Bicol Stays, the trading name of Bicol Stays Accommodation Reservation Services (DTI Business Name No. 8502912) handles the information you give when you book a place through this site. We follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173).
1. What we collect
To take a booking we collect your name, your mobile number, the dates you want, how many people are coming, and for a function hall the kind of event.
When you pay, we collect the photo of the transfer you upload as proof.
Some places also require a photo of a valid ID before payment can be accepted. Those places say so on their booking page, before you have given anything.
You do not need an account to book, and we do not ask for one.
2. Your ID, and why we delete it
A photo of a government ID is sensitive personal information, so it is treated differently from the rest. It is collected for one reason: to confirm that the person who booked is the person staying, which protects the owner and the other guests.
It is stored privately — it is never shown on a public page and never attached to a link that can be shared. Only the people who need it can open it: the place's owner and the manager handling the booking.
It is deleted automatically once seven days have passed since your check-out. This is not a promise we have to remember to keep; the deletion runs on its own, every day.
3. Why we hold the rest
Your name, number and dates are held so the booking can be run: so the place knows who is coming, so nobody else is sold your nights, so we can reach you if something changes, and so the owner has a record of what was booked and paid.
Your payment proof is held as the record that the booking was paid for. It is what protects you if a payment is ever questioned.
4. Who can see it
The owner of the place you booked, and the manager handling that booking. Nobody else.
The cleaning team sees only what they need to do their work — which place, which day, and whether the key came back. They do not see your ID, your number or what you paid.
We do not sell your information, we do not pass it to advertisers, and we do not use it to market anything to you.
5. How long we keep it
Your ID photo: deleted automatically seven days after check-out.
Your booking record and payment proof: kept while they are needed as a business and tax record, since a booking is a transaction we may have to account for.
6. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, object to how we use it, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.
Write to us using the details on the contact page and we will answer. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the National Privacy Commission.
7. This website
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site stores only what it needs to keep you signed in if you have an account, and to remember your own bookings on your own device so you can find them again.
